Mumbai’s vaccination drive on halt for today, says BMC

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced that due to a shortage of vaccines in the city, no vaccinations will take place on Thursday. The Vaccination drive will recommence on Friday as BMC is expecting to receive the doses today. BMC took Twitter to apologize for the inconvenience. 
 
However, Vaccination in private hospitals will not be affected as they have an independent schedule and already have the required doses of covid-19 vaccines. Total cases on Mumbai reached a total of 7,08,007 when on Wednesday the city recorded 925 new covid-19 cases. There are 16,580 active cases in the city.
