Mumbai police appoints 1100 new special police officers to enforce Covid Rule

Mumbai: Today is the fifth day in a row that more than the number of positive cases have been recovered.  Mumbai's doubling rate is lowest in the last currently 62 days.  The BMC chief said the decision was aimed at tightening controls on inter-city, inter-district and other travel movements to make control more effective. 

In addition, to address the issue of bed availability, BMC passed an order requiring all symptomatic COVID-19 patients to undergo a home medical examination to determine whether hospital admission is really necessary.  However, officials and medical experts have warned citizens that it is too early to determine if the city has become a corner, and urging people not to let their guards down and to continue following COVID-19 appropriate protocols.
