Mumbai Mayor claims that vaccinations for children aged 2 to 18 years will be available, BMC ready

In the wake of an increase in Omicron cases in India, with Maharashtra at the top of the list, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has stated that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is preparing to vaccinate children aged 2 to 18. The designs for the process are ready, according to Pednekar, and the details of the plan will be released next week. Schools in Mumbai have been closed for a long time due to the Covid-19 fear, which was followed by the newly discovered Omicron strain. Even though the schools are reopening, parents are afraid to take their children to school without being vaccinated.

"The blueprint for child vaccination is complete. We've planned for vaccine dosages. In a week, we'll publish the details "when queried about the implications of mounting cases on school operations, the mayor stated. The Maharashtra government implemented new rules and limitations on Friday, including a night curfew and section 144, in response to the escalating number of Omicron cases.

Following the limitations, the Mayor of Mumbai urged residents to exercise prudence and to take the restrictions seriously. "More than 5 individuals cannot be observed in places tonight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. My message to the people is to follow the regulations that have been put in place if you don't want the government to take drastic measures. Do not be alarmed by Omicron, but exercise caution and adhere to the regulations "Pednekar explained. Pednekar also urged people to wear masks and wash their hands for their own and their families' well-being.
