Mumbai: The number of corona patients in the state has been declining in the last few days. About 70,000 patients are registered in the state every day during April. Now the same number has dropped to 30,000. Now the number of Covid cases has dropped to 30,000. As a result, the pressure on the health system in the state has eased slightly.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, state health minister Rajesh Toppe also gave important information about the lockdown. The number of corona patients in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik has dropped significantly in the last few days. The growth rate of the corona patient decreased. This brought great relief to these cities. But Covid is spreading rapidly in rural areas. This increased the stress on the health system.
The health minister said the restrictions in the state would be gradually eased from June 1. Rajesh Toppe said the restrictions in districts where the number of corona patients is under control will be gradually removed. The Maharashtra government has imposed a lockdown in the state till June 1 to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the guidelines, pharmaceutical shops and essential services are allowed to operate from 7 am to 11 am during the lockdown. The lockdown effect was seen in many places. Controls have helped spread the virus. The situation in Nashik and Nagpur is not worrying.
Therefore, from June 1, restrictions in this area will be gradually relaxed. Restrictions will be removed gradually rather than quickly. Rajesh Toppe said such decisions would be taken in districts with a low number of corona patients. State Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay wadetivar said the decision to lockdown would be taken considering the number of patients. Vadetivar said 14 districts in the state are in the red zone.
The restrictions there cannot be completely avoided. The rules need to be tightened thereby creating a container zone. He said he would consider relaxing the rules, which reduce the number of patients. As covid cases decrease, the state needs to rest the lockdown. Therefore, the State Government is planning to waive the lockdown down exemption in all the districts except the red zone districts.
Vijay wadettivar said the decision would be taken in the next five to six days depending on the situation. Corona infections in Mumbai have decreased but not completely eradicated.
