Amid the speculation that the third phase of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Covid vaccination campaign would begin on March 1, with the Mumbai civil body on Sunday declaring the names of five civil facilities and three private hospitals as vaccine centres and now vaccine centers.  Civil officials said that the number of third-line vaccination centers across Mumbai would be gradually increased.

At this stage, seniors over the age of 60 will be vaccinated.  BMC officials said that in the third phase, people between the ages of 45 and 60 and those with comradeship will be vaccinated. The third stage vaccination will be implemented in municipal, government and private hospitals as per the guidelines received from the central government.  Private hospitals are included in the vaccination scheme under the Scheme 'Jan Swasthya Yojana' or private hospitals implementing central or state government health insurance schemes. However, against the list of 53 hospitals under BMC's jurisdiction, the Center has issued a central or state government health insurance scheme related to the Jan Arogya Yoga of the central government.
