Minister of environment and transport in the state of Maharashtra, Aaditya Thackeray visited Avighna Park apartments soon after the fire broke out there this afternoon. One person died.“Just had a visit to the place where the unfortunate fire accident took place at Avighna Park and also had met with the people who rescued residents out of the building. The fire is under control now and the reaming work is under progress.
 
I thanked the brave jawans of the Mumbai Fire Brigade for their quick response soon after the incident had occurred,” Minister of Environment and Transport Aaditya Thackeray took on Twitter. He further said that this incident has set an alarm of how fire safety becomes so much important and sprinklers, fire refuge areas should be there in every building. 
 
The fire incident that occurred in Mumbai’s Parel area on Friday injured a 30-year-old man, who afterward died, stated the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials. According to the statement released by the Mumbai Fire Department, the man who got injured jumped from the 19th floor of the building. 
 
Soon after the information was reached out, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar and other officials too reached the spot. The fire which broke at Avighna Park apartment was on level three at around noon, stated the Mumbai Fire Department. Soon after the incident took place the residents complained of the firefighting system not working at the time of the fire breaking out on the 19th floor. After which Maharashtra Environment and Transport Minister Aaditya Thackeray and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner assured them of a probe into this matter.
