Maharashtra Health Minister applauds the Centre's decision on booster dosages for the aged and childhood vaccinations

Big praise has come from the Health Minister of Maharashtra Rajesh Tope, soon after the government came up with this decision to provide vaccination for children, senior citizens and front-line workers. The decision, which has come at a time when the new variant of Coronavirus, Omicron is keeping its foot in parts of the country and the state of Maharashtra mostly. This decision that’s why becomes important, to provide precautionary doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals over 60, frontline workers, doctors, and children aged 15 to 18.

 

Rajesh Tope, remarked, "We applaud the central government's move to require boosters for people over 60, frontline workers, and COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 15 to 18. In the wake of the Omicron panic, a booster dose is urgently required." "PM Modi has met the demand for children's booster doses and COVID vaccines. We demanded that students be immunised to keep them safe as schools reopened "he stated.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made three important measures in the fight against the disease earlier on Saturday, including the start of vaccination for children aged 15 to 18 from January 3. He also stated that beginning January 10 of next year, healthcare and frontline personnel will be given a "precaution dose." On the recommendation of their doctors, senior adults with co-morbidities will be able to receive a "precaution dose" of COVID-19.
