The Maha Vikas Aghadi and the Shinde Fadnavis government are likely to square off over the possibility of using the 14.5-acre Worli Dairy land from the marine search institute, aquarium, urban forest, and exhibition centre for "other purposes." The portion of the land to be used for government offices. Aaditya Thackeray, a former minister, is suspicious of a shift in the land's use. "I've been informed that a committee made up of a few ministers has been established to convert the proposed uses of Worli Dairy from an aquarium, open space, and urban forest to "other reasons."

This unlawful government will likely auction it off for business or construction purposes. The unconstitutional government needs to be honest about this. Mumbai cannot be sold in order to serve its own interests. We require public areas and tourist attractions, he insisted. There was no response from the state government in this regard despite numerous attempts. Officers from the departments responsible for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development or Urban Development stated that they were unable to disclose the relevant government resolution.

The problem is significant since the MVA government suggested changing the land reservation at Worli Dairy in September 2021 to include an aquarium, urban forest, and exhibition centre on 11 acres of the total 14.5 acres of land. The MVA administration had considered giving the BMC the land in order to promote tourism. The area happens to be within Mr. Aaditya Thackeray's electoral district, and he was fairly aggressive in seeking its usage for an aquarium, urban  forest, and exhibition centre in an effort to get tourists there. Interestingly, BMC received over 300 complaints about the Worli Dairy aquarium idea in February of this year. The biggest concerns were with the employment of workers, the security of the buildings, and the increase in milk prices.
