The extended executive of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday approved a resolution congratulating seasoned party figure Mallikarjun Kharge on his election as the All India Congress Committee president. "Congress is a party that gives chance to all and has created history by electing a member from a working-class family as the National President," said Mr. HK Patil, the General Secretary of Maharashtra. Mallikarjun Kharge is a capable administrator and leader who works to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. The Congress party will once again flourish throughout the nation under his enormous expertise.

Nana Patole, the head of the state unit, proposed the motion, while Balasaheb Thorat, the leader of the Congress Legislature Party, Ashok Chavan, and Prithviraj Chavan, two former Chief Ministers, seconded it. "Mallikarjun Kharge was chosen democratically to serve as president. His victory is the ideal rebuttal to those who charge the Congress party of nepotism, according to Patole. The extended executive also discussed preparations for Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, which will go across the state on November 7.
