Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to visit flood-affected Mahad
On Saturday, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray will be visiting the flood-affected Mahad by helicopter from Mumbai at noon. He will also be visiting the flood-hit Taliye village while travelling, stated the Public Relations Room that is the Chief Minister's Secretariat. 
 
As of now, a total of 44 bodies have been taken out from the debris of the Mahad landslide, and the other 35 are under treatment.
On Friday the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray made an announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the family of those who lost their lives in the landslides due to the torrential rainfall in different parts of the state.
 
The information from the Chief Minister’s office also states that the state will incur the cost of the treatment for the people who have been injured. Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray in a recent statement said that the "Problems are being faced by the NDRF and other rescue teams to reach out to the flood-affected areas in Chiplun as the roads and bridges are damaged severely.
 
The situation is still tensed.” Many areas in Maharashtra have severely been attacked by rain over the past few days. The Raigad District Collector informed Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray about the situation Mahad.
