Bombay HC asks BMC to file an affidavit on vaccination drive for bedridden patients
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was asked by the Bombay High Court on Thursday to file an affidavit in the matter of the door-to-door vaccination drive for bedridden patients till next Wednesday. This drive of vaccinating bedridden patients’ door to door was started by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in stages by holding the drive in one or two wards at a time.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that they would go for a slow start before going ahead with all the wards as they want to notice how the citizens would respond to the drive. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) started the drive of vaccinating citizens who cannot come to the centres to take the vaccines after a PIL was filed by two advocates.

The administration drive was commenced in the K-east administrative ward covering the western suburbs of Andheri east and many others, stated Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in a statement.  The drive is being conducted with the help of Project Mumbai, a Non-Government Organization, the BMC said.
