Hawkers trash street with vegetables

A group of traders on Wednesday afternoon littered vegetables on a street in Mumbai's Kandivali area in protest against the action of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).  Police registered a case against the traders and arrested four people. Requires at least 10 to 15 people. 

Police said vehicles in Kandivali West were engaged in trade, disrupting traffic. Following the complaints, BMC's R South Ward office warned traders against boarding the vehicle.BMC also deployed a vehicle to monitor traders. “This move has provoked traders, they claimed that their business has been badly affected. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Wednesday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Subsequently, a case was registered alleging illegal assembly, endangering life and safety.
