Gorai corporator takes up fogging to fight Dengue; Opposition calls it political stunt

Congress corporator Shivanand Shetty, from Gorai in Borivali has carried out fogging in his constituency himself on Thursday in attempts to fight the increasing number of dengue cases in the area.
Shetty said that he received a lot of complaints from the residents about the dengue cases which he has forwarded to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the civic body.
He also said that it is important to raise awareness about the issue , hence he took the fogging machine in his hand. There has been 40 positive reported cases of dengue from Shetty’s ward this year.
However, politicians from opposing parties and a few residents claim that the move by Shetty is merely a political stint.
