Ultimately, linen services have resumed aboard the Mumbai CSMT-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express as of Wednesday (March 30), making it the first train in the Central Railway's Mumbai Division to do so since the outbreak began. Passengers were given new brand blue colour soft and cosy blankets, as well as new pillows and white bedsheets.
The restoration of linen service in Mumbai CSMT Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani express and commended the quality of linen, but remarked it would be too excellent if they were notified well in advance about the restoration of linen services in this train. "I was unaware that linen services would be resumed on this train starting today, so I brought my bedding, which increased the weight of my luggage," said a senior citizen who boarded from Mumbai CSMT, adding that it was a positive step.
To limit the spread of Covid-19 during the pandemic, former Railway Minister Piyush Goyal decided to stop providing blankets, bedsheets, linen, and curtains in AC carriages on all Indian Railways trains. The national transporter, on the other hand, has made provisions to offer disposal blankets to train passengers on demand.
"We resumed linen services on Mumbai CSMT- Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani express from Wednesday," a top CR official confirmed, "gradually all trains would be covered." In the first phase, the central railway plans to restart linen service in 18 trains, including 12 from the Mumbai division, by April 7th, 2022. From April 3rd, 2022, passengers on the Mumbai-Nagpur Vidarbha express and the LTT-Madgaon AC Double Decker Express are set to receive this service.
Passengers on the LTT-Shalimar, Jnaneswari Super Deluxe Express, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Howrah Samarsata Express, Mumbai CST-Firozpur Express, LTT- Puri Express, Lucknow Superfast Express, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Pratapgarh Udyognagri Express, LTT- Agra Lashkar Express, and Habibganj Express will most likely be able to use this
