Mumbai: For seeking visa help Afghani students meet Aaditya Thackeray
As the crisis in Afghanistan rises, on Tuesday a delegation of students from Afghanistan had a meeting with the Tourism and Protocol Minister Aadiya Thackeray to ask for help to extend their visa dates.  In the meeting Aaditya Thackeray promised that they don’t need to worry about anything, they will be safe in India and the issue of visa extension will be taken to the Union Government.

The Tourism and Protocol Minister Aaditya Thackeray after the meeting stated that students who are from Afghanistan and studying in Universities at Mumbai and Pune had met with him. “Their concerns were conveyed and the one main issue was visa extension. A surety has been given to them that as long as they are going to stay in the state of Maharashtra they are going to be safe. We will make sure that they are safe and are not facing any kind of problem,” stated Aaditya Thackeray.

The meeting between the delegation of Afghani students and Tourism and Protocol Minister Aaditya Thackeray took place at Sahyadri Guest House on Tuesday. When asked about the Taliban take over in Afghanistan, the protocol minister refused to comment on it stating that “Whatever is happening I cannot speak on that, it would be better if it remains between the two countries.”
