First public electric vehicle charging station inaugurated in Mumbai by Aaditya Thackeray
An electric vehicle charging point was inaugurated by the Environment Minister of Maharashtra Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday at a parking lot in the city of Mumbai. Aaditya Thackeray stated that “This a step from our side so that the use of electric vehicles increases which will help in protecting the environment.”
 
Twitting about it further the minister took on Twitter and said the move that has been taken by the Government of Maharashtra is very encouraging as we are moving in the direction of making the state of Maharashtra electric vehicle-friendly. Tweeting further Aaditya Thackeray, in another tweet, wrote: "The EV policy for our state of Maharashtra was declared a month ago.
 
It feels great to notice the efforts that are being made by everyone from all fronts. This step by the government is one of the many steps as being the government we need to take for the best for our earth.” “A special thanks to Ashutosh Enterprise, MLA Sada Sarvankar Ji and local Corporators & Asst Commissioner G/North Kiran Dighavkar Ji for furthering our efforts towards the EV revolution in the state," he further stated.
