Corporators demand free medical treatment for them

Abhishek Ghosalkar, the Shiv Sena corporator from Dahisar has demanded that all the BMC corporators get free medical treatment. Ghosalkar said in his proposal moved in the form a notice of motion that corporators work a lot and face tremendous physical and mental stress.
He also said that corporators should be extended medical facilities on the lines of such free facilities for MPs and legislators. His proposal was supported by a majority of corporators and was approved by the civic General Body (GB) last week. BMC chief Ajoy Mehta will now take a call on the issue.
In a notice of motion that was supported by a majority of the corporators, MNS’s Deepak Pawar had demanded that the civic body buy land and construct a guesthouse in one of the hill stations near Mumbai like Matheran or Mahabaleshwar.
