Corporator demands night stay facility for patients’ relatives in Shatabdi Hospital

Ram Ashish Gupta, Congress corporator from Kandivli has been rigorously requesting the BMC officers to provide night stay facility for the patients relatives at Kandivali-based Shatabdi hospital, run by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
Currently, there is no night stay facility at the hospital for the relatives of the patients admitted. Gupta said that the people belonging to the low income groups cannot afford to stay in a hotel for the night .
Most of these people stay in the hospital premises, on chairs, outside the wards. Some even sleep on the footpaths, he added.Meanwhile, Gupta has assured to raise the issue in the upcoming BMC meeting.
