Making a way for 2022 BMC polls, Congress is working to gain its strength by promising to provide laptops and tablets to the children of ward number 176. The proposal was supposed to be pitched to the BMC committee on Wednesday 27th January 2021, which seemed to receive the approval to supply 140 laptops and 170 tablets to the students of ward number 176.This ward is mostly under the Congress leaders and also covers few areas of Sion.

The laptops will be given to the students of class 9 and 10 and the tablets to those who have passed standard 7th and 8th. However, the other corporate has already claimed that this program just to get special attention.

This idealistic plan was brought up in November 2020 itself but came into action a month later. It is also said that Ravi Raja has already made it clear that the laptops and tablets will be only given to the children of ward number 176.

A similar proposal was passed for the ward of Yashwant Jadhav in August 2019 but the opposition leaders including Ravi Raja stated that the BMC commissioner was being influenced by person in power.
