Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inspected the implementation status of Mumbai Metro Lines 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 11, as well as Metro Line 2A (Dahisar East-DN Nagar), Metro Line-7, at his first war room meeting on the bullet train project. He advised rapid completion of the land purchase and transfer for the Thane-Kalyan via Bhiwandi Metro route-5 and Wadala-Kasarvadavali Metro route-4.

A total of about 42.25 hectares of land will be required for Metro lines 4, 4A, and 10. It has been requested that the Thane District Collector purchase land for the Metro 5 car depot. While the change of land use request for Metro 9 (Dahisar East to Mira Bhayander) is with the Urban Development Department, the land purchase for Metro 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar-Vikhroli) is still delayed due to a legal dispute.

Additionally, the MMRDA has sent the Thane District Collector a land acquisition plan for Metro 9. (Dahisar East-Mira Bhayander). A draught Memorandum of Understanding for cost sharing for Metro 11 (Wadala-CSMT) is still pending with the Mumbai Port Trust.
