Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, stated on Monday that his administration's top objective is to serve the general public and that it is dedicated to giving the Other Backward Classes, Maratha, and Dhangar communities access to quota privileges. After raising the national flag at Mantralaya on the 76th anniversary of the country's independence, Shinde made the following statement: "We are committed to providing benefits of quota to the OBC, Maratha, and Dhangar communities.
The Banthia Commission's findings were accepted by the Supreme Court, which is good news for the OBC population. OBCs now have reservations once more. We are enhancing both the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute and the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research Training and Human Development Institute (SARTHI) (Mahajyoti). Additionally, "AMRIT" is being established for the development of the economically disadvantaged, he said.
"We have been working since the first day. The common man, farmers, farm workers, the underprivileged, and the working class are our top priorities," added Shinde. Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons, and other industrialists he recently met with have reacted favourably to the efforts to develop industries in the state, he continued.
"Several areas of the state have experienced flooding as a result of heavy rain." We have decided to give the flood victims twice as much aid as the NDRF. We have also agreed to extend it to 3 hectares from the current maximum of 2 hectares, the Chief Minister remarked. In order to give a long-term and sustainable solution to flooding and severe rains, he said that the government was putting together a scientific programme for deepening and desalting rivers through the water resources department.
