The Shinde Fadnavis administration was greatly relieved when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Thursday that the center had approved approximately 225 projects totaling more than Rs 2 lakh crore for Maharashtra, despite the ongoing verbal conflict over the state's loss of important projects to Gujarat and other states. Of these, projects for modern roads are expected to cost around Rs 50,000 crore and improvements for the railway would cost over Rs 75,000 crore.

He stated that "construction on these projects is either already underway or will begin very soon," adding that "when the government spends such a significant sum on infrastructure, millions of new employment prospects are produced as a result." The PM made this declaration during his virtual speech at the Rozgar Mela, which the Shinde Fadnavis administration organised to distribute recruitment letters to 75,000 young people. Of these, 2,000 received letters of enlistment from the state government. TCS and IBPS have already been chosen by the state government to finish the hiring process.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Industry Minister Uday Samant had claimed that the PM had promised to give the state large projects following the losses of $20 billion Vedanta Foxconn, Rs 22,000 crore Tata-Airbus defence transport plane, bulk drug project, medical device park, and the SAFRAN MRO. The center had already announced a Rs 2,000 crore electronic hub in Pune district's Ranjangaon on Monday.

"It is evident from the Rozgar Mela's quick organising that the Maharashtra Government is firmly committed to helping the youth find work. I am also pleased that Maharashtra will host more of these job fairs in the future, Modi remarked. Thousands of positions will be filled in the State's Rural Development and Home Departments of Maharashtra.

The most crucial aspect of the government's efforts, according to the prime minister, is that women, Dalit-backward people, people from tribal groups, people from the general public, and people from all socioeconomic classes will now have equal access to these employment and self-employment opportunities. The Prime Minister highlighted providing aid to 8 crore women who joined the self-help group worth 5 lakh crore rupees.
