Mumbai: As the number of Covid-19 cases decreased, so did the number of citizens under domestic service. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the number of domestic workers fell by 16% from April 10 to May 07. The daily positive rate in the city is up to 7% lower compared to Sunday. About 25% in the first week of April.
According to BMC officials, one reason for the decline in the number of patients under home curfew is the decrease in the number of cases from high altitudes, where the maximum number of patients have been excluded from the home. BMC figures show that on April 6, 789 buildings and 9,785 floors were sealed and 617 buildings and 8,658 floors were sealed until May 6. Civil body officials say this is an indication of the declining number of cases in the city.
The second wave, which started in the city on February 10, saw a high increase of more than 85 percent of daily cases in the city. A closer look at the data of home quarantine citizens reveals that the number of citizens covered by home insulation dropped to one million in February, however, this number increased significantly with the second wave. Meanwhile, the city reported 2,395 cases and 68 deaths. 675,630 and 13,781 respectively.
With 608,866 recoveries, the city’s recovery rate is 90.11%. The city has a mortality rate of 2.03% of the 51,165 active cases. The city reported 32,590 tests on Sunday, of which 7.34% were positive. The city's former hotspot Dharavi reported 13 cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 6,623. Dharavi has 755 active cases and 5,540 discharges. City-based physician Dr. who responds to the fall of patients under home insulation.

Therefore, it involves high-risk contacts and isolation after recovery. BMC has denied Fadnavis' allegations that he did not report on the Covid accidents The
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday issued a statement saying the allegations of the civic body reporting the Covid-19 deaths were false.
Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis had alleged that the Mumbai civic body was handling information on infection rates and death toll. Fadnavis had said that Covid deaths were included in the category of non-Covid deaths to reduce the number of deaths due to Covid. However, there have been allegations in the media and on social media that BMC has painted a virtual image regarding the control of Covid infection in the BMC area.
The allegations are completely baseless and the municipal government has denied them. The BMC said in a statement that BMC was recording Covid tests and Covid deaths as per the criteria set by the World Health Organization and the Indian Institute of Medical Research (ICMR).
The Government's persistent efforts to prevent infection show good results in the Mumbai statistics. The government aims to achieve ‘Mission Zero’ by gradually controlling the Covid situation. Mumbaikars are cooperating with the representatives of all the people and as a result, the infection is under control.
