BMC will survey Mumbai to find children orphaned due to the pandemic

Mumbai: The Mumbai Municipal Corporation has conducted a special survey in Mumbai. Children who have lost their parents to infectious diseases have been diagnosed with Covid infection. The Civil Body has assigned each of its ward offices to conduct inspections with the assistance of the IT department. All children identified through this test will be cared for by the State Women and Child Development (WCD), read the reports. The committee decided to explain a specific chapter in their tracking module for detecting psychological trauma in children, which may have been observed by families.

In parallel, the Maharashtra Chief Minister directed the State Pediatric Taskforce to work in collaboration with the WCD Department.
