The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to speed up the immunisation push for Mumbai's youngsters. Teenagers are now getting vaccinated in nine Jumbo Covid centres in Mumbai, but vaccinations will be given in 200 different locations starting Monday. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been immunising youth aged 15 to 18 years old since January 3. The vaccination effort at BKC Jumbo Covid centre was initiated by Guardian Minister of Suburbs Aditya Thackeray. Since then, 58,678 teenagers have received vaccinations.

The city has 9,22,516 teenagers, and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) hopes to finish the first dose for all of them in 28 days. "We will begin vaccination teenagers in 200 centres other than the nine Jumbo Covid centres on Monday so that children can receive the vaccine in their local centres. This is our goal "Suresh Kakani, an additional Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner, stated.

"The patients who are being admitted are going up and are being kept in the Jumbo Covid centres. To avoid large crowds, I wrote Kakani a letter requesting that the immunisation push begins in all 24 wards of the city. We have a few months until the 10th and 12th-grade exams, and we aim to finish the vaccination drive before then "Chairman of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Health Committee, Rajul Patel, stated.
