BMC to stockpile global vaccines said: Adithya Thackeray

Maharashtra Minister Aditya Thackeray on Monday said that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to look into the possibility of procuring Covid-19 vaccines through global tender, to ensure effective vaccination.

In a series of tweets, he said work was underway to ensure the vaccines were made available promptly to those unfamiliar with the technology or unable to run the Covin application. After examining the need for adequate vaccines to ensure that the vaccinations are carried out quickly and efficiently and discussing with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray as the caretaker Minister of Mumbai, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, we have asked My BMC to look into the possibility of stockpiling vaccines globally," he tweeted.
