BMC to start vaccinating bedridden persons at home
The patients who are to be included in the bedridden vaccination drive have been identified by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that the door-to-door vaccination will commence from July 30.

The reason for the commencement of this drive is to help the civic body improve the drive when it kick-starts across Mumbai in the first week of August. “The reason for us to choose this area for the door-to-door vaccination was that this area had more hospitals and in case of emergency after the inoculation of vaccination the beneficiaries can be rushed to the hospitals.

Through this drive the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will be able to enhance its procedures when the drive will become large scale all over the state of Mumbai,” stated Suresh Kakani, Additional Municipal Commissioner of BMC’s Public Health Department on Thursday. 4,488 beneficiaries have been identified by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the past few weeks, who are bed-ridden due to medical, and/or physical conditions.

“We are trying to avoid wastage of the vaccination as if in a building there is only a single beneficiary then the vial will be wasted. The whole vaccination process will be under the guidance of doctors.30 minutes they will be observed after the dose of the vaccination,” stated Suresh Kakani.
