BMC to give training to paediatrician due to fear of the third wave

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that it will provide specialized training and guidance to paediatricians across the city days after the Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray announced the formation of the new paediatric task force. The Maharashtra government has announced the formation of a paediatric task force in the days following Uddhav Thackeray, with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announcing that it will provide specialized training and guidance to paediatricians across the city. 
 
The training will also include suggestions on more effective sanitation in all slum areas. In addition, the city council works to conduct home visits at the level of municipal health posts throughout the city. The training programs will be conducted by senior experts in the relevant departments of urban medical colleges and hospitals. BYL Nair Hospital Dean Ramesh Bharmal was in charge of supervising and planning the training.
 
In addition, home visits will be increased at the level of all 'Health Posts' of the Corporation. Mumbai Civil Chief Ward officials have been directed to maintain more effective sanitation in slum areas, public toilets, and other public places in all wards. Members of the Paediatric Task Force formed by the State Government will be invited as advisors. The paediatric task force was officially announced by state health minister Rajesh Toppe on Thursday, May 27. Renowned paediatrician Dr. Suhas Prabhu will preside over the function.
