BMC staffers suspended

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has suspended two contract paramedics for neglecting a senior citizen on the sidewalk of KEM Hospital in Parel. The incident happened on Friday night while the two were on duty.
The patient was an unidentified person who was admitted to KEM due to abdominal pain. BMC officials said, “CCTV footage showed the two leaving him outside Gate 6. When this came to the notice of the administration, he was immediately admitted to the hospital room.
