A list of vaccination centres that will be operational from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday has been shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Each centre will have 100 doses of vaccination, 296 vaccination centres within the civic body limit in the region will be giving the Covishield vaccine for the citizens who are above the age of 18 years. 40 percent of people will be given the first dose and 60 percent of people will be given the second dose. The healthcare and frontline workers will be getting their second dose of Covishield today.
People travelling to foreign countries from Mumbai for jobs, education, or participating in Tokyo Olympics will be given the Covishield vaccine. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that the second dose will only be administered to the citizens who have completed 28 days post their first dose. All the required documents will have to be brought to the vaccination centres which will include their admission confirmation letters and I-20 or DS-160 forms for foreign visas.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has requested the citizens to carry the certificate of the first dose to the vaccination centres.
The first and second dose of Covishield today will also be given to the people who are above the age of 45 years at drive-in centres. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) categorically stated that those who have online appointments will be administered 50 percent of doses and 50 percent for people who have done on-spot registration.
According to the list published by the
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the first and second doses of vaccination will be given today. The citizens who will be given the first dose stand at 75 percent and the second dose to 25 percent of people.
With this, the daily count of the Novel Coronavirus in the city of Mumbai was at 323 with seven deaths and 366 recoveries. Active cases now are at 5,082. From July 30, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started a door-to-door vaccination drive for the bedridden people in the city on an experimental basis.
