BMC's online services to be shut from June 11 to June 28

Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has upgraded its internal software SAP and servers so that BMC's online services will not be available for 15 days from June 11 to June 28. Services other than those in the SAP system Property tax payment, water bills, and building plan approvals are available. BMC uses SAP as the main software to meet the various needs of citizens, contractors, and employees.
 
The new SAP system, which provides users with faster applications, provides better online services and better upgrades to the SAP system, providing users with real-time online reports, document management assistance, and quick testing of new ones. Apps, new user interface, more responsive and user-friendly mobile apps, various dashboards. 
 
Existing SAP systems need to be converted/migrated to the SAP Hana platform, which takes approximately 15 days of operation. Due to the expiration of the existing Cloud Service Agreement, the migration of BMC applications to the new Cloud Service Agreement will also be undertaken during this period of inactivity. During this period, the SAP servers will be migrated to another data center and will be converted to the SAP Hana platform, a civic official said. As BMC is going to use the State Government's Procurement System, the tender process for all the departments will continue.
