The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that the vaccination drive against Covid-19 in Mumbai will be held on April 10 and 11 only in government and urban centers and not in any private hospital. Vaccination drive in private hospitals will resume once vaccination doses are available. Vaccination will take place on April 10 between 6pm and 6pm at government and civic centers, and on April 11 between 9am and 5pm.
The BMC said citizens eligible for immunizations can travel to the centers during curfews for medical reasons. The government and BMC hospitals in Metropolis have 49 vaccination centers. Established in 71 private hospitals.
BMC estimates that 50,000 people are vaccinated every day.BMC Executive Health Officer Mangala Gomat said the city will receive 1.8 lakh DOS Covid-19 vaccines. As many as 90 vaccination centers, including 71 in private facilities, had to be closed on Friday due to low vaccination doses.
