The BMC ejected some unlawful hawkers from outside Dadar railway station on Friday as part of its campaign to remove them. The civic organization's anti-encroachment division also used a jet machine to wash the road and remove the trash. An official from the G-North ward gave the assurance that the action would be ongoing.

Ranade Road and D'silva Road, two major thoroughfares near Dadar station, are congested with hawkers, making it challenging for pedestrians to move around. These streets were crowded with people shopping during Diwali. Hawkers encroached on the entrances to genuine stores as well as the roads in an effort to profit.

Dadar Vyapari Sangh asked the ward office to intervene because it was a problem for their commercial interests. Irfan Kazi, in charge of the Solid Waste Management Department of G-North, stated that a special cleanliness drive had been launched outside of Dadar station and that the roads had been made walkable during rush hour.
