Mumbai: In view of the increase in the number of patients infected with the COVID-19 virus, the BMC administration has decided to launch 16 oxygen production projects in a total of 12 hospitals as a permanent measure of oxygen availability. It produces oxygen from the atmosphere and delivers it to patients.
These 16 projects will produce 43 metric tons of oxygen per day, which will also help reduce the corporation's dependence on oxygen supply. Tenders have already been invited for this. Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Iqbal Singh Chahal and Additional Municipal Commissioner P Velrasu give leadership to this project.
