The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to Hiranandani Heritage Society on Wednesday. In the notice, BMC asked the society to provide the details of vaccination, the signed MoU from the hospital, and the registration form sent to the BMC before the vaccination drive.

Two weeks back, residents of Kandivali society claimed that they were scammed into a private vaccination drive held in the society. According to the locals, a marketing executive linked with Kokilaben hospital came with an official of local medical association and an event management company to offer vaccination to the society on behalf of a private hospital.

The FIR is yet to be registered, but the BMC has initiated an inquiry in the matter. The Hiranandani Heritage Residents Welfare Association has filed a complaint earlier this week. The probe has so far revealed that Rajesh Pandey, along with Mahendra Singh of medical association and event Management Company, approached the society for the Vaccination drive.

The society paid Rs 4.91 lakh in cash to Singh at the Vaccination site. Seeing the whole matter, Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani has ordered a probe. The civic officials said that they still are unsure whether the vaccine that was administered was fake or authentic.
