BMC officials arrested for demanding and accepting Rs 1 lakh bribe
For allegedly accepting bribes in two separate incidents two engineers of the Mumbai civic body and an official from the Maharashtra Dairy Development Commissioners were arrested on Monday stated the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).  Further, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) stated that a civic official attached to the E-ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was held while he was accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a plumber, adding that another officer was also arrested.
 
The civic officials who have been arrested for accepting bribes worked as Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer with the Water Connection Department of the City Civic Body. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) stated that both of the accused was demanding bribe for giving a ‘P’ form to the person who had filed a complaint to help him get a new water connection. 
 
The other incident which took place where an official who was posted in the office of the State Dairy Development Commissioner was arrested when he reportedly accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the person who filed a complaint to the officials to not take any strict actions on his illegal shop in the Aarey colony suburban Goregaon, the ACB said.
