BMC model of Covid management, Mumbai reports 1,794 Covid-19 cases, lowest single-day spike since March 30

Mumbai:  In Mumbai on Monday (May 10) 1794 new Covid-19 cases were reported while 3580 patients were discharged.  The city has witnessed the lowest single-day increase since March 30.  As of March 15, 1,712 cases were reported in the city. 
 
Since then, the lowest number of cases has been reported in the city.  The Uddhav Thackeray-led government, which imposed lockdown-like restrictions two weeks ago, has helped prevent the virus from spreading in the capital. 74 deaths due to the coronavirus reported in Mumbai the death toll rose to 13,891. 
 
Figures released by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the city's civic body.  3,580 Covid-19 patients recovered and were discharged on Sunday.  The recovery number stood at 6,16,998. On Sunday, 23,061 Tests were conducted, up from 37,607 on May 1st.  This is the lowest number of One day in a Test series. 
 
The number of trials conducted on May 3 was 23,542. The death toll in the city has been on the rise for the past few days.  Saturday's death toll was the highest on Saturday, with 93 deaths since June 30 last year.
