BMC has a money crunch yet it's not for Sena corporations?

Mumbai:  Faced with a massive financial crisis, political parties are craving for wealth in the election year.  Citizens Standing Committee is 97 out of the Rs 650 crore money passed by the Shiv Sena.  Councillors.  About  200 crores.  The BJP claimed that despite being 83 corporators, it got only Rs 60 crore. 

BJP alleged that Sena corporator Yashwant Jadhav, who is the chairman of the standing committee, again got Rs 30 crore despite the controversy over the arbitrary use of funds in his Byculla constituency.  At a time when BMC is facing a cash crunch, it is surprising that corporators are spending using civil funds.  Civic bodies cannot afford to distribute such discretionary funds.  It should ensure that these funds are used to build civic amenities and focus on providing basic necessities such as good roads and open spaces. Jadhav denied that he got Rs 30 crore this year. 

He faced flak for getting Rs 33 crore last year and spending freebies such as computers, food and vegetable trucks, indoor gym equipment, solar lights and jute bags. He said, 'We gave Rs 1 crore to BJP corporators and we also allocated Rs 60 crore for them.  His total earnings are Rs 143 crore.  This allocation was done in consultation with the leaders of the civic group.  The BJP was part of the consultations and agreed to the amount.  I distributed a considerable amount of money. 

There are 97 corporations in the army, but I only allocated about 200 crores extra for this.  Most of the funds in the Shiv Sena kitty are for manifestos. This year, the civic administration reduced the revision fund of the Citizen Standing Committee to Rs 100 crore in the budget.  The committee was allocated about Rs 650 crore as compared to Rs 750 crore in the previous year.“Funds were cut because of BJP.  Instead of getting Rs 1,000 crore, we got only Rs 650 crore this year.  If the BJP did not create a ruckus on the issue of funds, the corporates would have got more development funds.  Show them that I got Rs 30 crore and I will resign. 

If it is untrue they will have to blacken their faces, ”said Jadhav.  BJP alleged that the fund disbursement was arbitrary.  "It is a scam. By not making enough allocation to BJP (83 corporators), Sena is harming Mumbai by 30%. Vinod Mishra, party leader in BMC, BJP councillor said that it should be remembered that where BJP  He lives, the people there are Mumbaikars, and this is their money as well.  Once the budget is prepared, the standing committee makes amendments and sets aside separate funds for corporators for work in their constituencies.  It becomes part of a corporator's development fund.“The mechanism of the Area Development Fund should be re-examined. 

No more than 2% of the budget should be given for unplanned funds.  We should aim for 100% planned budget.  The use of the funds of all the corporators should only be a part of the expense of building civic facilities and planned.  Their use should be strictly regulated and monitored.  Does BMC mean Yashwant Jadhav Private Limited Company?  Remember, you are discriminating against Mumbaikars”'
