BMC Elections Date declared by Election Commission: Polling on February 21, results on February 23

The much awaited schedule of BMC Elections is out. Elections are to be held on February 21. Campaigning for elections to get over by February 19th at 5.30pm.
Following is the schedule:
Description Date
Nomination Filing beginning date January 27, 2017
Last date for nomination filing February 3, 2017
Last date for campaigning February 19, 2017
Polling date February 21, 2017
Results date February 23, 2017
Election Code of Conduct will come into effect immediately.
Limit for election spending is Rs. 5 lakh per candidate.
