BMC elections 2022: The MVA government is devoted to the development of the Powerloom Industry: Aslam Sheikh, Maharashtra Minister

Aslam Sheikh, Maharashtra Minister, stated that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was devoted to the development of the state's powerloom sector. On Thursday, Sheikh spoke to members of the textile and powerloom organisation in Bhiwandi, Thane district.

The state textile minister stated that he wanted to learn about the challenges that weavers confront in the state so that he could address them in the government's new textile strategy, which will be drafted in the coming year.

 

He stated that the MVA government has been given the opportunity to help citizens and businesses rather than crush and beat them.

"Our perspective on the entire process is that it benefits both the government and the weavers. We will usher in a revolution in the textile industry with the help of a new policy "Sheikh explained.

 

The Minister said he was visiting powerlooms in Bhiwandi, Malegaon, Solapur, and Ichalkaranji to talk about the problems that weavers confront and how to address them in the upcoming policy. Weavers and industry are currently facing issues as a result of a previous government's bad policy. He claimed that they had failed to discuss the issue with the stakeholders. "We will not allow this to happen in the new policy, and we will consider stakeholder ideas," Sheikh added.
