The 24 wards in the city of Mumbai will be ranked based on cleanliness under the Swachh Survekshan Survey 2022. Many different administrative will be judged, which plays a very important role with the Covid 19 infection in the city. This will be organised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), where it will appoint an external agency so that they led out surveys and submit the conclusion to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
This step by the civic body is led out so that healthy competition is generated among the citizens, and also make them keep their surroundings clean. Apart from the hospitals, hotels and schools in the city of Mumbai public premises too will be surveyed in the ranking which includes roads, nullahs, bus stops, traffic islands and gardens.
The tenders to layout this competition between 24 wards in the city was in the recent past passed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). “Soon after the competition is held, the result will be generated by mid-January, and for this reason, the contractors are to be finalized in just a time frame of one week.
The third-party will be looking at surveys that are to be conducted in the 24 administrative wards and then rank them for cleanliness on parameters that have been decided already by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). With this, we also have decided to include public areas in the survey this time. Soon after the results are generated the cleanest wards will be awarded,” stated Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official who is in charge of the tender process.
