After sending three notices in three months, the BMC took action on December 12th and demolished 20 unlicensed structures in Mulund. The action was initiated by the Municipal Corporation's T ward in coordination with the Mumbai police, according to Assistant Commissioner Chakrapani Alle, in charge of the C ward. The BMC discovered unapproved overgrowth at the front and back of 20 distinct establishments on the ground level of the Nandanvan Industrial Estate in Mulund (West). Additional structure of roughly 8000 square feet was demolished during the eviction operation carried out by the BMC's building and construction department in the 'T' ward. The operation was carried out by Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Zone 6, Devidas Kshirsagar, and Mumbai police. In addition, 35 BMC staff were on duty, along with 24 Mumbai police officers, for this operation, which included the utilization of four JCBs, two gas cutters, and other necessary equipment.
