Mumbai: Among the rising Covid-19 cases in Maharastra, residential societies with five or more Covid-19 cases will be sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pandekar said. The mayor of Mumbai told reporters that a night curfew would be imposed in the capital on March 28 from 10 pm to 11 pm.
He said hotels and pubs would be closed during the night curfew, with concessions on essential services. "Night curfew can be imposed in Mumbai from 10 pm to 11 pm on March 28. Hotels and pubs will be closed during the night curfew. Only essential services will be allowed. BMC will seal the deal with residential societies with five or more cases.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has extended the Covid-19 supplementary restrictions across the state till April 15, 2021. The total number of cases in the state rose to 26,37,735, including 2,82,451 active cases and 23,00,056 recoveries. The death toll rose to 53,907 yesterday.
