BMC Centres to administer the second dose of Covishield and Covaxin on Wednesday
Due to the shortage of vaccine doses, some centres were not administering the Covid 19 vaccines which were resumed as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced that the second dose of Covishield will be administered to all the Healthcare Workers (HWC) and Frontline Workers (FLW) on Wednesday. All the people above the age of 18 years too are eligible for the second dose of Covishield at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) centres, the officers stated. 
 
The time as directed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the jabs will be between 9 am to 5 pm. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) further stated that the period of 84 days will be minimised for those travelling abroad or for any emergency purpose. Those citizens will be administered the second dose of vaccination in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) centres.
 
The citizens who are to be administered the vaccination before the period of 84 days should carry all the valid documents to the Covid 19 vaccination centres. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation further will be conducting a drive for people above the age of 45 years and pregnant women on Wednesday.
 
Both doses of Covaxin will also be available in the Covid 19 vaccination centres for administration on Wednesday. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has requested all the eligible citizens to carry their certificate of the first dose vaccination who have completed it, to the vaccination centres. On the other hand, the city of Mumbai, for the second consecutive day recorded more than 300 new Covid 19 cases. As on Tuesday, the city recorded more a huge spike of cases to 323, taking the caseload to 7,44,155.
