BMC asks teachers to work from home aimid spike in covid cases

17,864 new Covid-19 cases were registered in Maharashtra.  87 new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.  This brings the total number to 52,996.  The education department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday issued a new order.  It asks all schools and it’s jurisdiction to repeal the 50 percent rotation attendance.

 

With the help of e-learning platforms, teachers can take their patterns from the home pattern to further orders, news agency ANI reported.  In Mumbai, 1,922 new Covid-19 cases were reported total tally raised to 3,47,581 cases.  Four deaths have risen to 11,539 in the past 24 hours.  The number of tests in Mumbai rose to 35,74,056, with 19,009 samples tested in the last 24 hours. 

 

According to the BMC bulletin, 246 buildings in Mumbai have been closed, while 34 areas have been identified as container zones. Meanwhile, 17,864 new Covid-19 cases were registered in Maharashtra.  In the last 24 hours, 87 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total to 52,996.Pune recorded the highest number of 1,954 cases of corona virus.  1,951 in Nagpur.  In Maharashtra, several districts have been closed, including Pune, Thane and Nagpur.
