BMC News: BMC appoints private road safety auditors for 3 crores
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is facing a shortage of cash still it wants to appoint new road safety auditors costing 20,000 per Km. An appointment of a new agency has been proposed for three years by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The cost for the project will be around 3.15 crore.

Such a project is initiated for the first time by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) which is also being criticized by the opposition for its cost. “A report in which everything will be in detail will be submitted anon the movements of the pedestrians' appropriate measures will be taken to grow the safety for roads. The analysis will be made of the traffic and people moving,” stated Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officer.

Further, the official stated that as of now some accident-prone sports have been identified by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as those have poor road designs. And that they would be taking the help of auditors to eliminate design flaws that cause accidents.

The opposition criticized the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for spending such a big amount and stated that “it will be practically impossible to follow the advice and implement the changes,” stated Congress Corporator Asif Zakaria.
