BMC announces global tender to acquire 1 cr covid vaccines

Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a global tender to acquire one crore vaccines. The bid was issued on the instructions of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and BMC chief IS Chahal.

BMC has made a global bid to acquire 1 crore Covid-19 vaccines for the mass vaccination of Mumbai citizens in the crucial fight against the virus. Chahal added that in the next 60-90 days, BMC has decided to make all possible efforts to procure the required number of Covid-19 vaccines for wartime vaccination of all eligible citizens in Mumbai. The Maharashtra government on Wednesday decided to suspend vaccination until enough shares are made for those aged 18-44.
