BJP worried about BMC Big projects

Mumbai: Focusing on next year's Mumbai municipal elections, the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Agadi (MVA) government has promised to complete major ticket transportation and other infrastructure projects under construction within the stipulated time.
 
The announcements in the 2021-22 annual budget invited the anger of the opposition.  The Opposition has said that the credit for the projects to be implemented under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) budget is to deceive people who expect something significant from the state.  Treasuries
 
A four-lane flyover is under construction to connect the Bandra-Worli sea link with MTHL, which will be completed within the next two years.  He said land acquisition was in progress on the 126-km Virar-Alibag multimodal corridor.  The cost of the project is Rs 40,000 crore.
 
He added that a preliminary survey has been conducted and a final project report is expected by December 2021.  He also mentioned about the desalination project to be started in Manori (Malad).
 
Transport in Mumbai needs to be upgraded to international standards.  Construction of 14 metro corridors is in progress.  Of these, Metro 2A and 7 will be completed by the end of this year, Pawar said.  The Bandra-Versova sea link, valued at Rs 11,333 crore, is being built at a cost of Rs 1 crore and the feasibility study for the Bandra-Versova-Virar sea link (Rs 42,000 crore) was being prepared. 
 
The tender process for the Goregaon-Mulund link road is worth Rs 6,600 crore.  The Rs 19,500 crore wastewater treatment plants at Worli, Bandra, Dharavi, Ghatkopar, Bhandap, Versova and Mald will be taken over and Mitti, Dahisar and Poisar will be rehabilitated.  The Oshiwara rivers will start at Rs 2,000 crore every year.
 
The CM said that permission has been granted for the memorial of the late Balasaheb Thackeray at a cost of Rs 400 crore.  "With an amazing response to BKC's battery-powered bicycles, we will start this year to create dedicated cycle paths on the Western, Eastern Express Highway," he added.
 
 'Started by BJP government'
 
Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, meanwhile, said most of these projects were initiated and initiated by previous governments.  This is the first time the state government has mentioned them and taken credit for projects undertaken by the municipal corporation.

 Health care
 
* Post-Covid counseling and treatment centers will be set up in all district hospitals and government medical colleges in urban areas.

 * 5 kg crore for general health services in Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats.  Of this, Rs 800 crore will be given to him every year.
 
 Cancer diagnosis facility in 150 hospitals
 
 * New Government Medical Colleges at Amravati, Prabhani, Raigad and Satara
 
 * Eleven Government Nursing Schools affiliated to Government Medical Colleges will be converted into Nursing Colleges.  Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy colleges will be started in all 17 government medical colleges.
 
 Welfare of farmers
 
  * Zero per cent interest crop loan for farmers who take crop loan up to Rs. 1 lakh.  One lakh.  Rs 3 lakh and timely repayment.
 
 * 33% discount on remaining electricity bills.  If the remaining 50 per cent is paid by the farmers by March 2022, an additional 50 per cent of the remaining amount will be written off.
 
 * 2 crore for strengthening the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee.
 
Balasaheb Thackeray spends Rs 2,100 crore to create markets and value chain projects under agri-rural business
 
* Financial assistance will be provided to rural beneficiaries in Sharad Pawar village for permanent cow sheds, goat rearing or poultry sheds and composting.
 
Others 
 
An amount of `3,487.50 crore was spent to reduce pollution in industrial estates.
 
 * State Transport Corporation's old diesel buses will be converted to eco-friendly Heart Heart CNG and electric buses.  Bus stands will also be upgraded.  I set apart `1,400 crore.
 
 * An amount of `6829.52 crore has been sanctioned for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ramai Garkul Yojana and Shabari Garkul Yojana.
 
 
Rs 3,000 crore for renovation and repair of damaged government and Zilla Parishad school buildings.
 
11,315.78 crore for relief and disaster relief / assistance.
 
Pilgrimage development and monuments
 
The MVA government has promised development funds (not specified) to two dozen pilgrimage centers across the state, including Ashwinayak, Jejuri Gad and Saptashrangi Gad.  Shri Kshendra Narsi, the birthplace of Saint Namdev Maharaj, revered by both Hindus and Sikhs, has pledged funds for the development of Namdev (District Hingoli).
