Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election 2022, now the civic body gears itself competing with the private bus owners. Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) is under talks with private companies to take their employees from home to work and vice versa. 
 
The situation is similar to that of pre-Covid times when the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) used to take children to the school. Now in addition also the services of air-conditioned buses for passengers from Mumbai airport to Bandra Kurla Complex and Gateway of India. 
 
The idea led out by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to attract more and more passengers to Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) is going ahead of it and also attracting big corporates and MNCs. "We are discussing with some corporate companies and MNCs, where we would be providing door to door services to employees of their company with AC," assured the general manager of Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST). 
 
As per the information from close aids of BEST, they are in contact with big and high-profile companies and even call centres are included. This idea will be in operation when the private sector companies call their employees to join offices. They have also put forward of adding 2,100 more buses in the list of AC buses, till the approaching months. Also looks forward to adding 1400 single-decker AC buses with 400 mini AC buses and 100 mini buses.
