The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is all set to kickstart their election campaign for upcoming civic body elections by organising a rally on the first day of the new year in Nagpada which will be attended by the Owaisi brothers. The party has started making all the needed arrangements to ensure the rally is successful.

The rally will reportedly be addressed by party president Asaduddin Owaisi and his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi and they are expected to raise the issues of development of Muslim and Dalit minorities.

MLA Waris Pathan along with the party’s leaders has chalked out the strategy of identifying the areas and the candidates for wards like Byculla, Mumbadevi, Bandra, Malad, Wadala, Sewri, Govandi, Mankhurd considering the voters strength.

AIMIM will be focusing on the issues of development in the wards where Muslim voters are in big numbers and the ward is in need of basic amenities and infrastructure.

Party sources said that the leaders will come out with issues which will be included in the manifesto. “However, party workers have complete confidence of winning in this civic election. They have started working at the grassroot level and candidates will win successfully in these areas,” said a senior party leader.
